CORE turns the hidden gestures of pottery into an immersive light experience for a café. Two projected patterns—Imprint, inspired by the maker’s thumbprint, and Whirl, inspired by the potter’s wheel—bring the human touch and movement of the craft into the space. The projections transform the walls into a living canvas that connects makers with visitors.

Bringing the Ceramic Process Into the Space

CORE explores the center of the potter’s wheel as a place where raw clay is balanced and shaped into art. The concept makes the small details of that process visible at room scale through projected light. Imprint magnifies the maker’s thumbprint as a personal mark on the clay, while Whirl uses flowing patterns to evoke the wheel’s rhythm and the ongoing movement of creativity. Together, these projections make the café walls an expressive, living canvas.
